Police Seek Owner of Stolen High-Performance Bike Recovered in Tunbridge Wells

Kent Police are appealing for help to identify the owner of a high-performance bicycle that was recovered during proactive patrols in Tunbridge Wells.

The bike was seized from two men who were spotted walking with it on Vale Road at around 10pm on 21 February 2025. Officers stopped the pair—an 18-year-old from Peckham and a 19-year-old from Orpington—on suspicion of theft.

Both were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and going equipped for theft, but have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Appeal to Identify the Owner

Police have released an image of the recovered bike in the hopes of reuniting it with its rightful owner.

“We believe this is a stolen bicycle and would like to return it to its owner,” said a spokesperson for Kent Police. “If you think the bike belongs to you, we ask that you come forward with proof of ownership.”

To claim the bike, individuals must provide proof of purchase, a serial number, or details of unique identifying features.

How to Get in Touch

Anyone who recognises the bike or has information about the incident is urged to call the West Kent appeals line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/30596/25.

Alternatively, information can be reported online via the Kent Police website.

Officers continue to investigate the wider circumstances surrounding the theft.
