Police Release CCTV Images in Canterbury Assault Investigation

Police investigating an assault in Canterbury have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify in connection with the incident.

Officers were called to an underpass beneath Upper Bridge Street at 12:45 AM on Friday, 30 August 2024, following reports that a man had been punched and knocked to the ground. The victim sustained facial injuries and required hospital treatment.

An investigation is ongoing, and officers are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information, or who recognises the man, is urged to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/146337/24. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or through their online form.

Authorities are hopeful that public assistance will help bring about a resolution in this case.
