Police probing A3 road rage incident

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident which started on the northbound A3 at Thursley and continued through Guildford until the vehicles, a white BMW and a blue Mercedes van, were stopped in a layby before Junction 10 at Wisley. The incident occurred between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday, 26 June. Officers arrested the driver of the white BMW, a 30 year old man from Petersfield, Hampshire”>Hampshire, on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, threats to kill and driving without insurance. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue. PC Chris Nicholson, of the Surrey Police Roads Policing Unit, said: “This road rage incident could easily have ended in a serious collision, injury or worse.
