Police probe launched after Bognor Sex attack

Police are investigating a sexual assault which occurred in Hook Lane, Bognor Regis, shortly after 10pm on Thursday 1 August. A woman was walking along Shripney Road when she was approached by a man who she recognised locally. They engaged in conversation for a short while and parted ways in Highfield Road. The victim continued onto Hook Lane, where she was grabbed from behind by the man, who then sexually assaulted her before making off. Police were called and forensics investigators attended the scene. The suspect is described as possibly Polish, about 5’6”, of skinny build and aged in his late-20s. He had short brown hair and stubble, and wore a white long sleeved top which had a logo on it and brown shorts. This is believed to be an isolated incident, and anyone with any information is urged to report it onlineor call 101, quoting Operation Newfield.
