Police Probe after Attempted Armed Robbery in Liphook

A major Police operation is ongoing to locate two men after an armed robbery at Lloyds Bank in Liphook yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 16). Police were called at 4:10pm to reports that two men had demanded cash. One was armed with a knife and the other with an air gun, which was discharged. One man was injured during the attempted robbery, nothing was taken. The injured man was shot in the face by a pellet and also received a small stab wound. He was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford to be treated and has since been discharged. The two men fled the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate them. CCTV has also been viewed of the incident and officers are treating this as an isolated incident. The man with the air gun was described as white, the other man had his face covered. Both were described as slim, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall, and were wearing hooded tops. RMS Number: 44160184028
