Police Officer Charged with Sexual Assault: PC Joe Moloney Faces Legal Proceedings
An officer who accessed police computers without a reason to do so has been dismissed from the Met

PC Joe Moloney, a serving police officer attached to Met Operations, has been charged with sexual assault in connection with an alleged incident that occurred in Bruce Grove. The incident took place on October 29, 2022, while PC Moloney was off-duty, sending shockwaves through the local community.

PC Moloney recently appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 17, where he entered a plea of not guilty. Following his court appearance, he has been released on bail and is scheduled to make his next appearance at Wood Green Crown Court on November 21.

This disturbing case came to light after PC Moloney’s arrest on November 1 of the previous year. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) subsequently conducted an investigation and determined that a local inquiry was necessary to address the allegations.

In response to these developments, a police spokesperson confirmed that PC Moloney is currently suspended from his duty as a police officer. The Directorate of Professional Standards, responsible for ensuring the conduct and integrity of police officers, has also been informed of the situation.
