The Metropolitan Police have initiated a rape investigation following an incident reported in Mitcham town centre on Tuesday, September 12th. Police were called to the scene at approximately 2pm in response to reports of a rape involving a woman.
Officers promptly arrived at the location, where it was alleged that a woman in her twenties had been subjected to a sexual assault. The reported incident is said to have occurred on a roundabout situated off Park Lane in Croydon.

In response to the traumatic event, the victim is receiving specialised support from trained officers to assist her during this difficult time. The authorities are committed to providing the necessary care and assistance to the survivor.
As part of the ongoing investigation, a designated crime scene has been established in the area of the reported incident. Police are working diligently to gather evidence and information that may lead to identifying the perpetrator(s). At this stage, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
