Police Investigate Stabbing and Reports of Gunshots in Leyton

 

Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was stabbed, and reports of gunfire were heard on High Road in Leyton on Tuesday evening. Authorities were called shortly after 7:00 pm on October 29 to respond to a report of multiple people armed with knives in the area.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a young man suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by the London Ambulance Service and taken to the hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.

During the investigation, police were informed of gunshots being heard nearby around the time of the stabbing. No injuries related to the gunfire have been reported.

A crime scene has been established, and officers continue to monitor the area as enquiries are underway. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call 101, referencing CAD 6537/29Oct, or to provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
