Police Investigate Serious Incident in Leominster

Police are currently investigating a serious incident in england/leominster/”>Leominster, where a man has been arrested following a serious incident involving a woman who was falsely imprisoned, poisoned, and raped. The events occurred at a property on street/”>South Street, Leominster, on Thursday, September 4, and continued into the early hours of Friday, September 5.

Details of the Arrest

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was subjected to false imprisonment and rape. A 50-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of rape, false imprisonment, and administering a poisonous or noxious substance with intent to injure. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Appeal for Witnesses

West Mercia Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious on South Street on Thursday morning. Detective Inspector Edward Jones stated, “I understand that incidents such as this will bring huge concern to the local community, and we would like to reassure people that we are conducting a detailed investigation and that additional officers will remain in the area.”
