A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday evening in Hounslow as a devastating fire ripped through a property on Channel Close, leaving a number of people feared dead. The incident has prompted a thorough investigation by the police, with emergency services working tirelessly to contain the blaze and provide assistance.

The alarm was raised shortly after 10:30pm, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade. Ten fire engines and over 80 firefighters and officers, alongside other emergency services, rushed to the scene to battle the fierce flames that had engulfed the property.

The London Ambulance Service also dispatched five ambulances, two officers, a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and the London Air Ambulance to provide medical assistance.
Despite the valiant efforts of all emergency services involved, it is feared that there may be casualties resulting from the fire, which was already well-developed when firefighters arrived on the scene. A 32-meter aerial ladder platform was utilised in the firefighting efforts.

The London Ambulance Service reported that two individuals were treated at the scene, with one person being discharged on-site. However, the severity of the incident suggests that more tragic outcomes may be expected.
The London Fire Brigade is expected to issue an update on the situation as investigations continue. Scenes of crime officers from the Metropolitan Police have been deployed to the area, and the entire road has been cordoned off as a crime scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade stated, “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a house fire on Channel Close in Hounslow. The whole of the ground and first floors of a mid-terraced house were alight. Most of the roof of the building was also alight. There are road closures in place, and people are advised to avoid the area where possible. Firefighters will remain on the scene into the morning.”
The London Ambulance Service also provided details of their response, saying, “On Sunday at 10:28pm, we were called to a fire in Channel Close. We sent a number of resources, including five ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, two clinical team managers, two incident response officers, and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two people on the scene and took one to the hospital and discharged the other. We remain on the scene alongside colleagues from the London Fire Brigade.”
