Police Investigate Gunshots in Norwood Road, South East London

Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation following reports of gunfire in Norwood Road, SE24, on Friday evening.

Emergency services were called at 6.03pm on 25 July after members of the public reported hearing gunshots in the area.

Firearms officers responded swiftly and carried out an extensive search of the area. While no victims or suspects were located, officers confirmed that evidence of a firearm discharge was found at the scene.

There were no injuries reported, and no arrests have been made at this stage.


Ongoing Investigation

The area remained cordoned off for forensic analysis on Friday night. Enquiries are continuing as specialist officers from the Met’s Firearms Investigation Team pursue leads.

A police spokesperson said:

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
