The victim of a fatal stabbing in Peckham has been identified by police as they continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward. The incident occurred on Sunday, 25 June, in Nunhead Green near the junction with Gordon Road, SE15.
At 9.20pm authorities received reports of a stabbing, with a man found to have sustained stab wounds. A member of the public had already taken him to the hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the 26-year-old victim, Rohan Trotman, passed away at 09:30 on Monday, 26 June.
The next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command are conducting ongoing investigations, but no arrests have been made at this time.
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith expressed the devastation felt by Rohan’s family and friends, urging individuals with information about the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing to come forward. He appealed to anyone who was in the area of Nunhead Green around 9pm on the mentioned Sunday to provide any details they may have witnessed.
