Authorities have taped off a small park near Sainsbury’s following the discovery of a dead body. The park, located near Selhurst Station, has been closed off as police carry out their investigation. Facebook posts reveal a flurry of reactions from local community members. One user, Scott Cooke, asked, “Where in Bromley?”, while another, Emily Almond, responded, “The one near Selhurst station I believe!” Many others expressed shock and sadness, with comments like “Oh no!” and “How sad.”

Romi Kite, a top contributor, voiced concerns that the deceased may be one of the homeless individuals who frequent the park, adding, “Does anyone know where we might be able to seek information about this without hindering the process?”

The Metropolitan Police have been approached for more information, but as of yet, no official statement has been made regarding the identity of the person or the circumstances surrounding the death.

A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at 09:22hrs on Sunday, 15 September, to the body of a man found on a bench in the College Green area of Bromley.

Officers attended the location and conducted enquiries. The death is not believed to be suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
