Police Called to Harris Academy Tottenham Following Reported Knife Incident and Robbery

Police were called to Harris Academy Tottenham on Ashley Road this afternoon following reports of a disturbance involving a group of boys, amid concerns that a knife may have been involved in an attempted robbery outside the school gates.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing at least two police vehicles at the scene around 4:30pm. The situation appeared to involve a fight between youths, with one onlooker claiming that a knife was recovered and a robbery may have taken place.

According to bystanders at the scene, school staff were instructing students and members of the public not to take photographs or videos, despite the incident taking place in a public area.

One witness told UKNIP

“There was a lot of shouting and then suddenly police turned up. The boys were fighting, and someone said a knife was involved. The school staff told me not to take pictures, but it was all happening outside on the street.

The exact nature of the incident remains unclear, and police have not yet issued an official statement.

Local residents and parents have expressed concern, particularly as the incident occurred just as pupils were leaving for the day. A parent whose child attends the school said:

“It’s really worrying to hear about fights and knives outside a school. We need reassurance that our children are safe.

Harris Academy Tottenham has so far declined to comment on the incident, and it is not known whether any arrests have been made.

The Metropolitan Police are expected to release further details shortly. Anyone with information or footage of the incident is encouraged to contact Met Police on 101, quoting the time and location of the incident.
