Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a motorcyclist died following a collision in Lewisham

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service to Lee High Road, junction with Burnt Ash Lane, at 11.32am on Monday, 11 November following reports of a serious collision. London’s Air Ambulance attended and found a 29-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, suffering from serious injuries following a collision with a car. The man was taken to a central London hospital by London Ambulance Service where he died on Tuesday, 12 November. His next of kin has been informed. The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene. The car involved was stopped by police a short distance away. The 21-year-old female driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and was taken to a south London police station where she was subsequently released under investigation.
