Police are appealing for help to locate a prisoner who has absconded from Hollesley Bay

Matthew Smith, aged 29, was reported missing at just after 6.30pm yesterday, Tuesday 9 January, after being absent at a roll call.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build and with brown hair and eyes, and a full beard.

Smith is serving a sentence of five-years and three months for robbery. He was linked to the Malvern area of Worcestershire.

Anyone who believes they have seen Matthew Smith, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
