Authorities in Gloucestershire are seeking witnesses and information related to a disturbing suspected road rage incident that unfolded near the M5 on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Police were alerted to the incident, which involved a woman driving a black 4×4 vehicle and the occupants of another car, and occurred around 5pm
According to the report received by the police, the incident transpired after the woman exited the motorway at junction 12 and was travelling along the B4008 from Stonehouse, en route to Bath Road. A silver Ford Mondeo, which was driving ahead of her, suddenly braked and forced her to come to a halt.
In response to this abrupt stop, the woman sounded her horn. However, the situation escalated when the occupants of the Ford Mondeo exited their vehicle. The driver of the Mondeo reportedly shouted obscenities at the woman while brandishing a knife.
After the heated exchange, both drivers eventually returned to their respective cars and continued their journeys. Nevertheless, the Ford Mondeo followed the woman as she proceeded toward Waterwells Drive in Gloucester before ultimately driving away.
Descriptions of those involved have been provided by authorities. The driver of the Ford Mondeo is described as a white man in his 30s, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a stocky build, bald, and possessing a local accent. In the car with him were two other individuals: another white man in his 30s, roughly the same height but of a slim build with short dark hair, and a woman.
Given the potential danger of this incident, Police are keen to gather any available information and evidence. They are particularly interested in hearing from witnesses who were in the vicinity at the time or may possess dashcam footage that could shed light on the situation.
