Police Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Collision on A27 in Falmer

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses following a tragic collision on the A27 in Falmer that claimed the life of a 23-year-old pedestrian.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10:35 am on Friday, 18 October, after receiving reports of a collision involving a coach and a pedestrian. Despite efforts from first responders, the man, from Brighton, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and the police have expressed their condolences to the family during this difficult time.

The incident is under investigation, and police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward. They are also requesting that any such footage not be shared on social media.
