Police Appeal Following Fawley Assault

Hampshire Police are appealing for information following a violent assault outside The Falcon Inn pub in Fawley. Officers have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection to the incident, which took place between 9:20 pm and 10:00 pm on Sunday, 28 July.

A man and a woman, both in their 40s, were attacked during the altercation. The victims were punched and kicked, with the man suffering swelling to his head and bruising across his face and body. The woman sustained bruising to her knee and arms.

Following extensive enquiries, police are now seeking the public’s help to identify a man who may assist with the investigation. He is described as white, between 6ft 1ins and 6ft 2ins tall, with a large build. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a black vest top and black shorts.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man or who was in the area during the incident to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in speaking with witnesses or anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour around The Falcon Inn on the night of the assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 44240321330, or submit details through the Hampshire Police website. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Police remain hopeful that this appeal will bring them closer to identifying those responsible for the attack.
