Police appeal following Early Morning Stabbing in Islington

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a stabbing in Islington. Police were called at 4.18am on Saturday, 26 May, to reports of a man stabbed on Blackstock Road, N5. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service. A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found with stab injuries. He was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A 29-year-old man was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of affray. He remains in custody at a north London police station. He is not a suspect for the stabbing. Detectives from Islington CID are investigating. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist police is asked to call Islington CID via 101 quoting CAD 1168 / 26may.
