Police appeal after woman is robbed and assaulted in Northfleet

Detectives investigating a robbery on Northfleet High Street are appealing for witnesses. It is reported that between 4.30pm and 4.45pm on Saturday 7 December 2019, a woman was walking up a stairwell at Rayners Court when she was assaulted by a man. The suspect, who is described as being black, stole her watch and ran from the scene. Detective Inspector Martin Carter of North Kent C.I.D. said: ‘The victim of this robbery required treatment at hospital for facial injuries. ‘We are asking witnesses who saw the incident or who noticed anybody acting suspiciously in the area to contact us.’ Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 46/233602/19.
