Police appeal after Sex attack in Sunbury

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after we received a report of a sexual assault in Sunbury on 8 May. Between 4.30pm and 5pm on Manor Lane, near the junction with Griffin Way, a teenage boy is alleged to have groped a teenage girl. Officers arrested a 15-year-old near the scene. He has since been released on police bail, preventing him from returning to the scene. The suspect was described as: Black 5ft10 Large build Wearing a black Puma hoodie and tracksuit bottoms Investigating officer, Detective Constable Matt Webster said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the young victim and we commend her bravery in coming forward. “Given the time and location of the offence, I am sure people witnessed the incident in question, be it they were driving home or walking home from school. “I would urge anyone who may have seen anything to come forward and talk to us so we can further our investigations. “I would like to also stress that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.” If you have any information about the incident, including dashcam footage, please contact us on 101 or online at https:///www.surrey.police.uk/ro/report/ quoting PR/45190047889.
