Police and Coastguard teams called to Ventnor

Emergency services have been called to ongoing incident at Ventnor seafront this morning (Thursday). Shortly before 9am Police were seen to arrive at La Falaise car park on the Esplanade in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight Police are searching the cliff top at the seaside location. Two coastguard teams from Ventnor and Bembridge has also been tasked to assist officers along with the RNLI Bembridge lifeboat. The lifeboat is currently carrying out a search of the water for person that was last seen on cliffs. The call has been demand a hoax and emergency crews are now standing down. More to follow
