Emergency services rushed to Mill Hill Broadway railway station this evening after reports that a person had been struck by a train.

The incident occurred just before 6pm at the busy Station Road transport hub in Mill Hill, NW7.

The emergency call confirmed that  serious rail incident had taken place, triggering a major response from paramedics from the London Ambulance, British Transport Police (BTP), and the London Fire Brigade.

Commuters were evacuated and services on the Thameslink line were heavily disrupted as first responders worked at the scene. Rail services between St Albans and London St Pancras faced delays and cancellations throughout the evening peak travel period.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said:

“Officers were called to Mill Hill Broadway station at 6.10pm on 16 April following reports of a person being struck by a train. Paramedics also attended. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

The condition of the individual has not yet been publicly confirmed, and no further details have been released at this stage.

National Rail issued an alert warning passengers of service disruptions and advised those travelling in the area to check before setting off.

The scene has since been cordoned off as investigations continue, with full cooperation from Network Rail and train operators.
