A person has tragically died following an incident on the Elizabeth line at Hanwell station in west London on the night of October 14. Emergency services were called to the station at around 10:30 pm after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Officers from the British Transport Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the individual was taken to hospital. Sadly, they later passed away.
Authorities have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Train services between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport were suspended while the incident was dealt with, but have since resumed.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “We were called to Hanwell station at around 10:30 pm on Monday, 15 October following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Officers attended along with paramedics, and a person was taken to hospital where they sadly later died. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
