People of Portsmouth share the Portsmouth Love

The good denizens of Portsmouth rose to the occasion after a Portsmouth Foodbank’s shelves were cleared by overwhelming demand. As reported yesterday morning, the Foodbank at North End Baptist Church had hit crisis point after running out of food. Portsmouth responded in typical Pompey fashion by inundating the North End volunteers with donations. Volunteer Helen Hitchings said, “Portsmouth you are amazing – just back from North End Food Bank where we have been overwhelmed by donations – the shelves are full again and many happy families went home with bags full of food today – what a difference from Tuesday! “Thank you, thank, thank you – could those who shared the original post please pass on our thanks!”
