It was reported to police that a 37-year-old local man was assaulted in Queen Street outside the Anything & Everything shop at 9.15pm on Friday 28 January 2022. He had been approached by two unknown men, then pushed to the ground and kicked in the head multiple times, causing him to lose consciousness momentarily. He sustained a broken nose and was taken to hospital for treatment.
