Office Roof Destroyed after early morning Fire in Peckham

Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers were called to a roof fire at a shop with flats above in Peckham High Street, Peckham. The roof of the building was destroyed by fire. The Brigade was called at just before 6pm and the fire was under control by just after 9am. Fire crews from Peckham, New Cross, Old Kent Road, Brixton and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
