New arrest in linked Camden murders and assaults

Detectives investigating two murders and assaults in Camden have made another arrest. An 18-year-old man [I] was arrested at a residential address in Camden on suspicion of murder on Monday, 23 April. He is currently detained at an east London police station. An 18-year-old male [H] who was arrested on the afternoon of Tuesday, 27 March on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH], attempted GBH, two counts of murder and violent disorder in connection with offences that all took place on Tuesday, 20 February. He has been released on bail to return on a date on late April. On Tuesday, 20 February at around 20:00hrs, a 17-year-old boy was found stabbed in Aldenham Street. He suffered injuries that are not life threatening. A second victim, aged 24, was also attacked but did not sustain serious injuries. Four men – aged 24 [A], 23 [B], 20 [C] and 21 [D] – were arrested on Wednesday, 21 February on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. They have since been released under investigation. At around 20:30hrs that same evening, officers were called to Bartholomew Road at the junction with Oseney Crescent, Camden, and found a 17-year-old male – later identified as Abdikarim Hassan – suffering from stab wounds. He died at the scene. At 22:13hrs, officers attended Malden Road, near to the junction with Marsden Street and found a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. The victim, Sadiq Aadam Mohamed, died at the scene. Detectives have charged three males in connection with the incidents. [E] an 18-year-old male was charged on Sunday, 25 February with two counts of murder, GBH and attempted GBH. [F] an 18-year-old male was charged on Thursday, 1 March with two counts of murder, GBH and attempted GBH. [G] A 17-year-old male was charged on Tuesday, 13 March with two counts of murder and violent disorder. Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. Enquiries continue.
