A murder investigation has been launched following the distressing discovery of a woman’s body at an address in Dudley. The police were alerted after concerned friends found the lifeless body of a 58-year-old woman at a residence on Bromford Road at approximately 3.20pm on Friday, 21 July.
According to reports, the woman had failed to attend her workplace on a fateful day, prompting her friends to visit her residence, only to be met with the tragic scene.
West Midlands Police has initiated a thorough murder investigation and is urgently seeking information from the public that could aid in shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Inspector Damian Forrest, part of the force’s dedicated homicide team, emphasised that they are in the preliminary stages of their investigation, diligently piecing together the woman’s last movements. Law enforcement authorities are currently in communication with the victim’s family and friends, providing them with vital support during this profoundly distressing and mournful period.
As the death is being treated as suspicious, Inspector Forrest urged anyone with relevant information or potential leads to come forward, stating, “We are appealing to anyone who can help with information to come forward.”
