Murder Investigation Launched After Man Found Dead in Shipley Home

 

West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body at a property in Stead Street, Shipley.

Emergency services were called to the address at 9.29am on Monday, 22 April, after a report of concern was raised for the safety of a man at the property.

Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old man, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A 65-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody while investigations continue.

A post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death is scheduled to take place later today.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) are leading the investigation, and police have confirmed that extensive enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said:

“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time. We are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death.”
