Attack on North Street Led to Death
The 34-year-old suffered a serious shoulder injury when he was attacked by a group of men on street/”><a href=”https:///uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.North Street in the early hours of 21 December 2019. Despite receiving medical treatment, complications from the injury caused his death five days later, on 26 December.
Police Nabbed Suspects Quickly, Charges Follow Years of Investigation
Police arrested four men at Brighton Station soon after the assault, with a fifth suspect detained the following month. After a lengthy and complex probe involving national experts, the <a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges against two men:
- Oliver Priddle, 25, from <a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.Peacock <a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.Lane, Brighton
- Niraj Amaidas, 24, from Colwyn Close, <a href=”https:///uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.Crawley
Both face murder charges and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Priddle is also charged with possessing a Class C drug. The pair are set to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 25 September.
