Mountain Rescue and Air Ambulance teams sprang into action last night after a rider badly hurt their arm in Dalby Forest.
Scarborough & Ryedale Heroes Respond
The Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team revealed: “Last night, Yorkshire Ambulance Service called us to help a mountain biker with an arm injury in Dalby Forest.”
Several team members training at base quickly jumped into action. A full team callout was issued, with rescue vehicles rushing to the scene.
Air Ambulance Airlift Saves the Day
After assessing the injured cyclist, the rescue team requested backup from Yorkshire Air Ambulance. A landing site was set up safely near the Visitor Centre.

The casualty was carefully placed into a Bell stretcher and airlifted to a waiting ambulance. The injured biker’s two friends were escorted alongside to the Visitor Centre.
An urgent mission successfully completed as mountain rescue and air ambulance workers worked seamlessly to save the day.
