The family of Michael McCann is grieving after he was tragically killed over the weekend. McCann, who died of his injuries sustained in a stabbing incident on Back Bradford Street, Bolton, passed away two days after the attack.
Michael’s family fondly remembers his infectious smile, which they describe as a beacon of true happiness. “Our family will miss our brother’s smile,” they said. “Michael’s sole purpose in life was to care for his family. Now, he will never have the chance to be the brother and uncle he aspired to be. We will forever cherish the time we spent together and the memories we shared.”
McCann’s cousin expressed shock and devastation. “Micky was like my younger brother,” he said. “Our three children adored their Uncle Micky. It’s heartbreaking to know we’ll never see his cheeky smile again. We love you, Micky.”
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. One man has been charged with murder, another with assisting an offender, and a woman with obstructing police. A 50-year-old man, initially arrested on suspicion of assault, has been released on bail while detectives continue their work.
