Met Police Launch Appeal For Woman Wanted In Connection With £350,000 Jewellery Theft

The Metropolitan Police have launched a public appeal for information to locate a woman, Marinela Manolesu, after a suitcase containing jewellery worth £350,000 was stolen from a hotel in central London. The theft occurred on Sunday, 8 October, at a hotel in Knightsbridge, where the 28-year-old had been employed as a housekeeper.

Authorities believe that Manolesu has left the United Kingdom and travelled to Romania on 15 October. The Metropolitan Police has alerted the authorities in Romania about the alleged theft, in the hope of locating and apprehending the suspect.

The stolen suitcase contained a significant amount of valuable jewellery, and the police are urging anyone with information regarding Manolesu’s whereabouts or the stolen items to come forward.

The police have not disclosed the name of the hotel involved in the theft, but they are urging anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Knightsbridge area on the day of the incident to provide any information that may assist with the investigation.
