Chaos erupted on Westminster Bridge at 10:10am today (October 8) as emergency crews scrambled over serious welfare fears for a man.

London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police officers arrived swiftly. The man received urgent treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital.
Westminster Bridge was shut down during the incident but has now reopened to traffic.
Official Reports Reveal Scale of Drama
“We were called at 10:10am to reports of an incident on Westminster Bridge. We deployed ambulance crews, an emergency planning manager, an incident response officer, and our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). We treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
“Police were called at 10:12am following concerns for the welfare of a man. Officers are currently speaking to him. Westminster Bridge was closed to traffic during this time and we advised people to avoid the area,” confirmed a Metropolitan Police spokesman.
