A man has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle in Greenwich this afternoon (October 21).
The incident occurred on Woolwich Road near the junction with Denford Street shortly before 2:40 pm. Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service, were called to the scene.
Paramedics found the man injured and provided immediate medical care. He was subsequently taken to a major trauma centre by road. Authorities have confirmed that his condition is not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2:38 pm today (October 21) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Denford Street and Woolwich Road, Greenwich. We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Our first paramedics arrived on the scene in approximately five minutes. We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
No arrests have been made, and police enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
