Man Stabbed in Rainham: Police Issue Condition Update

Police have provided an update on the condition of a man who was stabbed during a serious assault in Rainham.

Emergency services were called to Cherry Tree Lane shortly before 5:30 am on March 29 following reports of an incident. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to a nearby hospital. Authorities have since confirmed that his condition is now considered stable, although the full extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.

A police spokesperson said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this serious assault and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area around the time of the incident.

The area remains cordoned off as forensic teams carry out their investigation. Residents have reported a heightened police presence in the vicinity as officers conduct door-to-door enquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those who may have witnessed the assault or have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage are asked to contact the Metropolitan Police on 101, quoting reference number 29/03.
