Man Stabbed Eight Times in Havant Park Attack as Police Hunt Knifeman

A man in his 30s is in hospital after being stabbed multiple times during a brutal attack in Leigh Park, Havant, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, September 2. This Havant stabbing highlights ongoing safety concerns in the area.

Police said the victim sustained serious injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has been described as serious but stable.

The man’s sister later revealed on social media that he had been stabbed eight times, including suffering a punctured lung, but confirmed he was “currently stable”.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene around 12.13am. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance confirmed their Critical Care Team, consisting of a doctor and paramedic, provided treatment before escorting the victim to hospital by road ambulance.

Police statement

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

“A man in his 30s was seriously assaulted in a park near Chalton Crescent in Havant. It was reported that the man had been stabbed and he was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service. His injuries have been described as serious, but not life-threatening. An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

Suspect still at large

No arrests have yet been made, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries.

Residents reported a significant emergency services presence overnight, including paramedics, police units and the air ambulance team.
