Man Sentenced to 13 Years for Rape and Child Grooming – UKNIP

Abdullah Mhana, a 26-year-old man from Bradford, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of serious offences, including rape, sexual assault, and the creation of indecent images involving a child.

Mhana, residing at Hirst Lodge Court in Bradford, admitted to a total of 17 charges at Bradford Crown Court. These charges included:

  1. Five counts of rape
  2. Seven counts of making indecent images
  3. One count of sexual assault on a child
  4. One offence of causing a child to witness a sexual act
  5. One instance of assault by penetration
  6. One offence of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity

The court heard that over 14,000 indecent images were discovered on Mhana’s electronic devices. His modus operandi involved establishing relationships with victims through social media platforms, subsequently arranging meetings in parks and even inside his car.

One particularly disturbing case involved Mhana initiating a relationship with an 11-year-old girl, falsely claiming to be 17 years old when he was, in fact, 23 years old. The gravity of his actions has left a lasting impact on the victims and their families.

In a sentencing hearing held today (April 8) at Bradford Crown Court, the judge handed down a 13-year prison term to Mhana. Additionally, he was required to sign the sex offenders register and receive a sexual harm prevention order.
