A major crash has closed part of the A13 East India Dock Road in both directions this afternoon, leaving one man in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the busy stretch of road in E14 shortly before 1.40pm following reports of a serious collision.

A spokesperson confirmed:
“We were called at 1.39pm today (20 August) to reports of a road traffic collision in East India Dock Road, E14. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
The man’s current condition has not yet been confirmed.
Road closures and disruption
The A13 was shut in both directions around East India Dock Road while emergency services dealt with the incident, causing significant disruption in the area. Long delays were reported on approach routes through Poplar, Canning Town and Canary Wharf.
