Man Rushed to Hospital After Crash Closes Busy Bromley Road – UKNIP

 

A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious crash on a busy road near Bromley.

Emergency services were called to the A21 Bromley Road, near Bellingham train station, shortly after 4pm yesterday (April 23). The incident caused the closure of Bromley Road between Carstairs Road and Bellingham Road, severely affecting traffic on the border of Lewisham and Bromley.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided immediate treatment to a man involved in the collision. He was subsequently taken to hospital as a priority, although further details about his condition have not yet been released.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 4.01pm yesterday (23 April) to reports of a road traffic collision in Bromley Road, SE6.
We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.
We treated one patient at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”

The road remained closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident but reopened later in the evening.

The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further information regarding the circumstances of the crash.
