Official Statement
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service stated, “We were called at 6.38pm yesterday (15 September) to reports of a person in the River Thames at Barking Riverside. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
