Man killed after being struck by Van on A3

A man in his twenties has died following a collision with a van on the A3 earlier this morning (3 Jun 2017). Surrey Police was called just after 4am to a report of a van hitting a pedestrian near to the Thursley junction of the A3 (southbound). Officers attended, with colleagues from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Surrey Fire and Rescue service, but the man was sadly declared dead at the scene. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed. The driver of the van is helping police with their enquiries.
