Christopher Spence, a 39-year-old man, has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for committing acts of violence against women in the Forth Valley area. The verdict was delivered at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday, June 6, 2024, following a trial that revealed his attacks on three women between 2007 and 2023 in the Stirling and Clackmannanshire regions.

Detective Constable Laura Mitchell, who led the investigation, underlined the gravity of Spence’s actions: “Spence is a dangerous individual who now faces the consequences of his campaign of violence against women over a significant period.” She expressed hope that the conviction and sentencing would bring justice to the victims and commended their strength throughout the legal proceedings.
