Man Jailed for Six Years in County Lines Drug Dealing Case

Christopher Flynn, a 35-year-old resident of Woolfall Heath Avenue in Huyton, Merseyside, has been sentenced to six years in prison following an extensive investigation into County Lines drug dealing. The sentencing took place at Liverpool Crown Court after Flynn pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, specifically crack cocaine and heroin.

Flynn’s arrest was a result of the diligent efforts of Operation Toxic officers, who are part of Project Medusa, an initiative by Merseyside Police aimed at combating County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation across the country. The investigation linked Flynn to the notorious “Scouse Jay Jay” drugs line, which facilitated the distribution of crack cocaine and heroin into Chorley, Lancashire.

In February 2023, officers executed a warrant at Flynn’s home address in Huyton, leading to his arrest. Subsequently, he was charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. Detective Inspector Gary Stratton emphasised the significance of this conviction:

“We have removed another drug dealer from our community and stopped a large quantity of Class A drugs from finding their way onto the streets. This sentence reaffirms our commitment to pursuing those who engage in illegal drug trade in Merseyside, especially when it harms vulnerable members of our communities. We extend our gratitude to the public for sharing crucial information with us, as this intelligence is vital to safeguarding our neighbourhoods.”
