A man is in critical condition in a London hospital after a crash involving a motorbike on the A26 Tonbridge Road in Barming, near Maidstone.
The incident occurred outside The Bull pub at around 2pm on Christmas Eve, prompting emergency services to shut the road in both directions.
Emergency Response
A spokesperson for the ambulance service confirmed that the man sustained “severe head injuries” and has been transported to King’s College Hospital in London for treatment.
Emergency services remain at the scene, including four police cars, paramedics, and a fire engine. The area around The Bull pub has been cordoned off, and the road closure is causing significant disruption.
Road Closures and Traffic
The A26 Tonbridge Road remains closed in both directions as police continue their investigation into the incident. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
