Police rushed to Waterloo Millennium Green last night after reports of a stabbing. At 7.40pm on October 8, officers and paramedics arrived near Baylis Road within minutes to find a 25-year-old man injured.
The victim was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital. His condition is now believed to be life-changing.
Crime Scene Still in Place After 23 Hours
More than 23 hours after the attack, the park remains cordoned off. Police tape surrounds the entrance on Baylis Road, and officers continue to guard the scene.
No arrests have been made so far as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 19:40hrs on Wednesday, 8 October to reports of a stabbing on Waterloo Millennium Green, SE1. Officers attended and a man, aged 25, was being treated by the London Ambulance Service. He was taken to hospital and his condition is believed to be life-changing.
A crime scene was put in place and enquiries are ongoing. There have been no arrests at this stage.”
