A man in his 40s has tragically died after falling ill on Kensington High Street in central London. The incident occurred just after 12:45 pm today (June 25).

Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that enquiries are underway to notify the man’s next of kin. At this stage, his death is being treated as unexpected but is not considered suspicious.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12:48 hrs on Tuesday, 25 June to reports of a man taken ill at Kensington High Street, W8. Officers, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade attended. At the scene, a man, aged 40, had collapsed and had sadly died at the scene. Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin. At this stage, the death is being treated as unexpected but is not thought to be suspicious. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”

The busy Kensington High Street area was temporarily disrupted as emergency services attended to the incident. Passersby expressed their shock and sorrow over the sudden death.

One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It was really shocking to see. The emergency services arrived quickly, but it was clear something serious had happened. It’s so sad.”
