A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after being stabbed during a fight on Shakespeare Walk in Hackney on the evening of Tuesday, April 16.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 9:40pm, with police and paramedics quickly attending the incident, which took place near an alley off Shakespeare Walk, close to an adventure playground and Stoke Newington Youth Club.
Emergency Response
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a member of our Tactical Response Unit.
The first of our teams arrived in under six minutes. Crews assisted our emergency services partners at the scene but were later stood down.”
The victim was taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.
Investigation Ongoing
A crime scene remains in place as of Wednesday morning, and no arrests have been made so far. Detectives are continuing their enquiries.
Police have urged anyone with information or witnesses to come forward. The incident follows a recent series of violent incidents in the capital, prompting increased patrols in some areas.

Residents have expressed concern on social media following the incident. One local commented, “It’s worrying to see another stabbing so close to a youth centre. We just want our streets to be safe.”
